Description: Utilizing the lens of Zora Neale Hurston's life and selected works (including Barracoon and The Life of Herod the Great), the presentation will look at the importance of language and literature as authentic expressions of humanity; inquire into how these hallmarks of human culture may be devalued and undermined by various uses of so-called "AI"; and explore how we might respond to this phenomenon.
